Maundy ThursdayThis evening there will be a combined Maundy Thursday service with the Knox Presbyterian Congregation, in the Knox Church at 7.30pm, with Rev Dr Matthew Jack and Rev Jill van de Geer;  and tomorrow, Good Friday, there will be a service in the Hall at the Knox Centre, at 10.00am, with Rev Jill van de Geer.

Maundy Thursday is a time for remembering the Last Supper Jesus shared with his disciples (including the washing of their feet and the institution of the command to Good Fridaylove one another as he loves us), before his arrest and the trial resulting in his death on the cross on Good Friday.  This evening, the church altar will be cleared of all adornments, as part of our remembering of these events and our telling of this momentous story.

This will be a particularly busy time for our Presbyters, and I am sure they would value being kept in your prayers especially this week.
