Pentecost 04Just a quick reminder that we will be worshipping at the Knox Centre, on Bealey Avenue (between Montreal Street and Victoria Street, on the south – hills – side of Bealey Avenue) at 10.00am. There we will be join with the Knox Presbyterian congregation and the St-Luke’s-in-the-City congregation to celebrate Pentecost Sunday.

There is plenty of car parking in the area between Presbyterian Support and the Knox Centre, which is accessible from Bealey Avenue just before the Knox Centre.

Then, after a light self-catered finger-food (bring a plate) lunch at Knox, we will have a half-hour service of worship at the Durham Street site commencing at 1.30pm – this brief service is an opportunity to join with other Methodists within the wider city and members of other city congregations to acknowledge future plans for being church on this sacred site. We gathered three years ago in 2011 on Pentecost Sunday in the afternoon to take leave of the church building as it was, and we expressed hope for future church on this site – it is time, now, for us to give further expression to these hopes in the spirit and hope of Pentecost. Bring your own chair and a warm jacket.
